Myanmar rights advocates blast Australian inertia on sanctions

Australia’s government has come under intense scrutiny from experts, activists and opposition parties for its handling of the violence in Myanmar. The government say that the question of whether to impose sanctions is still under review and depends on national-interest, whilst critics argue that there is significant public-interest within Australia for sanctions.
