
The Japan-UK Trade Agreement and the Shadow of Brexit

In the shadow of Brexit, it has been vital for the UK to prove the worth of individual trade relationships with their vital economic partners, especially Japan. Japan has made it clear that it values its trade relationship with the EU over any strategic interests that the UK may have post-Brexit. The Japan-UK comprehensive economic partnership agreement that was signed on October 23 was vital in assuring Japanese companies in Britain who benefitted greatly from EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement.
