Asia Scotland Institute launches digital hub at the University of Edinburgh
As we inspire the next generation to engage with Asia, it is important that we continue to develop even stronger relationships between students, staff, and alumni who share the same interests in this fascinating, diverse and dynamic continent.
The start of a new academic year offers new opportunities and further developments in our university partnership and we are pleased to announce the launch of our digital Asia Scotland Hub.
The Asia Scotland Hub is part of Platform One, which is a new online meeting place where University of Edinburgh students, staff, alumni, and volunteers can share information, support each other, explore possibilities, and learn.
David Birrell, Institute Director Asia Scotland Institute, commented
“Based on our student research, stronger links and support from alumni is a key preference. We look forward to being part of this exciting new digital community”.
Chris Cox, Vice Principal Philanthropy and Advancement and Executive Director of Development and Alumni, added
“The University of Edinburgh is excited to be a partner in this new venture that will see our community actively engage with the opportunities and possibilities offered by Asia, its people, places and businesses. Our links to the continent are already extremely strong through our alumni and academic partnerships, and we are looking forward to building on this and developing the connection further.”
