Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary of India, opened the second day of the The Gateway of India Geoeconomic Dialogue, co-hosted by Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations, and the Ministry of External Affairs. In a conversation with C. Raja Mohan, Director, Carnegie India, he gave his perspective on recent political changes and economic uncertainties, elaborating on India’s optimistic view of the opportunities of increased multilateralism, India’s geoeconomic potential with Japan and the Gulf and the threat of growing terrorism. |

Admiral Sunil Lanba Chief of Naval Staff, Indian Navy delivered the Special Address on ‘Indo-Pacific: Possibilities and Portents’ at India’s second Gateway of India Geoeconomic Dialogue conference in Mumbai, organised in association with the Ministry of External Affairs. His speech discussed the role of the Indian Navy in the region. |

T20 Mumbai: Dialogue on the Emerging World Economy |
Gateway House is hosting the G20’s official sub-forum for think tanks, the T20, entitled “Dialogue on the Emerging World Economy” on Monday, February 13, 2017. This meeting is being organized under the 2017 G20 presidency of Germany in collaboration with Germany’s T20 coordinator, the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. The participants will be think tank experts, select business leaders and government officials from G20 countries. The meeting will be conducted under Chatham House Rules in a roundtable track 1.5 format. The objective of this year’s meeting is to develop guiding principles that can foster consensus between emerging markets and developed countries on issues critical for the emerging world economy. |
