Vikram Singh Mehta joins International Advisory Council
Vikram Singh MehtaWe are delighted to announce that Vikram Singh Mehta – one of India’s most distinguished businessmen – has joined our International Advisory Council.
A former Chairman of the Shell Group of Companies in India, Vikram currently serves as Executive Chairman of Brookings India in New Delhi.
In 2010, Vikram received Asia House‘s “Businessmen of the Year” award.
Vikram said: “I am honoured and delighted to be invited to join the International Advisory Council. Roddy and his colleagues need to be congratulated for recognising early the importance of building a bridge of understanding between Scotland and Asia. I hope I can contribute meaningfully to supporting their efforts.”
Roddy Gow, Chairman and Founder of Asia Scotland Institute, said: “We are delighted that Vikram will add considerable weight to our Council, providing unique insights into India and South Asia.”
Vikram joins other distinguished figures on the International Advisory Council, including Chief Executive of VisitScotland Malcolm Roughead OBE, Dr Eamonn Butler of the Adam Smith Institute, and Rory Stewart MP.
Following India’s dramatic 2014 general election Vikram spoke at Asia Scotland Institute in Edinburgh, giving a fascinating insight into what the outcome means for business and investors.
