The Institute is delighted to announce that we will be conducting a webinar with Mr Eoin Daly, a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company on 12 November at 1400 hours. Eoin Daly advises governments and state linked enterprises on economic development, public service delivery and institutional reform. His geographical focus has been Southeast Asia and as such he has contributed heavily to the detailed analysis and reports conducted by Mckinsey & Company in their ‘Future of Asia’ series, the subject of his webinar.
Eoin joined McKinsey in 1999 in London and served clients across industries including retail, telecoms, banking and infrastructure. In 2002 he spent a year working in the Cabinet Office of the British Government in the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit. He went on to help found McKinsey’s Public Sector Practice.
Eoin moved to Kuala Lumpur in 2010 and led the growth of McKinsey’s Public Sector Practice in Southeast Asia. He went on to lead McKinsey’s Public Sector Practice in Asia from 2016 to 2020, serving governments across the region on economic development, public service delivery and institutional reform. He also served clients in the energy industry on growth strategy and performance transformation. Eoin is a member of the Editorial Board of the McKinsey Centre for Government which develops and publishes the Firm’s global knowledge on public sector reform.
Eoin studied at University College Dublin and ESCP. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a Master’s in Business Studies. He placed first in his year, receiving the Sir Charles Harvey Award for academic excellence. Prior to joining McKinsey, Eoin was a management consultant serving clients in China, Southeast Asia and Latin America. He lives in London with his wife Ana, who is Spanish, and their three children.
