City of Glasgow College was formed in September 2010 with the merger of Central College Glasgow, Glasgow Metropolitan College, and Glasgow College of Nautical Studies. These institutions had served the people of Glasgow and beyond for over 50 years, welcoming students of all ages from every background and culture, nurturing talent, inspiring confidence, and helping them on the road to success.
The College is recognised as a leading provider in marine training both in the UK and internationally. The Faculty of Nautical Studies & STEM has strong business links across Asia, Africa, and the Americas, specifically in providing academic qualifications and mandatory safety training for engineering & deck cadets, and marine industry professionals. City of Glasgow College is proud to work in partnership with maritime institutions across the world to deliver relevant, high quality training to established professionals in the industry as well as trainees starting their careers.
