This is the first in the Asia Scotland Institute’s new Ambassador Briefing series. Peter Wilson, Asia Pacific Director of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, reflects on his experiences and speaks on ‘The Challenges of the Asia Pacific Region and UK Policy’. Peter has held his current position since November 2010 covering North and South East Asia and Australasia from London. He leaves the UK in August to take up his new post as Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative at the United Nations in New York. He is the son of Lord (David) Wilson, penultimate Governor of Hong Kong.
