This is an ASI event with a difference – a talk and musical performance by Sunita Bhuyan, the accomplished Hindustani violinist.

As well as being a rare musical talent, Sunita is also an experienced corporate executive in India.

Her presentation on 29 August will draw on both sides of her professional life, dealing with the relationship between culture and business and how important that connection is for staff and companies alike.

After the talk and music there will be an opportunity to ask Sunita questions.

About Sunita

Sunita was taught to play the violin by her mother, the eminent musician Minoti Khaund.

Since then she has developed her own style which mixes pure classical with a range of other genres, including jazz, folk and pop.

Sunita has performed all over the world, both as a solo artist and with her mother. She is a recipient of the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award for Music.

According to THiNK, Sunita is “that rare performer who blends skill and a nuanced understanding of music with spunk on stage”.

In addition, Sunita has 18 years’ experience as a corporate HR executive. She specialises in the use of music for Wellness Training in leadership, teamwork and stress management.

Her corporate clients have included a number of major, well-known global companies.
