A rare opportunity to meet one of the UK’s leading figures on India. Richard Heald is the Chief Executive of UKIBC and former Vice Chairman of Rothschild, India. He is coming to Edinburgh on July 6th to offer three decades of intriguing insight into the secrets of doing business in what is, arguably, the world’s fastest growing nation.

This is the first of two Asia Scotland Institute talks being given by Richard Heald, CEO of the UK India Business Council, in July. These events are held jointly in conjunction with the Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association.

With speculation that India is growing faster than China, Richard will explore and uncover the challenges facing business people aiming to successfully take advantage of the opportunities for growth and collaboration between India and the UK.

The full title of Richard’s presentation is, “Unlocking the Indian Enigma: the Challenges and Opportunities of Doing Business in a Federated Country”.

Richard formerly worked at Rothschild for 17 years where his position led him to become Vice Chairman of Rothschild, India, playing a pivotal role advising numerous UK and Indian companies on spin-offs and capital raisings.

Collectively, Richard has over 30 years experience in financial markets, 20 of which have been focused on advisory and capital raisings for governments and major corporate across the globe.

Registration and coffee is from 5.30pm. The presentation is at 6pm and will be followed by a networking reception.

We hope to see you in either Edinburgh or Glasgow on 6 or 7 July.
