Asif Rangoonwala – Business Culture, Challenges, and Opportunities in the Indian Sub-Continent
Asif Rangoonwala is a serial entrepreneur, property tycoon, owner of P1 Powerboat Racing and primary supplier of buns to KFC in Britain. In 1996 Asif took out a £2.4 million loan from Bank Albaraka to tackle inefficiencies in Britain’s bun market. Today his bun business has a turnover of £48 million. Asif went on to invest in the P1 powerboat Grand Prix series which he has transformed into a global phenomenon. He now sits behind a billion-dollar property fund, focusing on student accommodation across the UK.
Asif will be delivering a talk and panel discussion at 200 St Vincent Street in Glasgow on Friday 17th June alongside Dean Nelson, former South Asia Correspondent at the Sunday Times, answering your questions on the theme of “Business Culture, Challenges & Opportunities in the Indian Sub-Continent”. The event commences at 12:15 and lunch will be served from 12:30. The event is supported by SDI.
